Aim

To reinforce the Industrial Business Unit, our client is looking for a Director Business Development / Industry (f/m)

Company

Is a Silicon Valley-based supplier of high-performance electronic components used in high-voltage power-conversion systems.

Main Tasks

  • Development of the product strategy for the product line “High Power Gate Driver”
  • Market analysis and creation of business plans for new products
  • Identification of new market segments, development of new and existing customers
  • Product definition and product lifecycle management
  • Technical and commercial support for the sales and distribution teams
  • Regular design reviews and datasheet reviews
  • Representation of the company in conferences and international panels
  • Regular visits to customers and distribution partners worldwide
  • Performing of product trainings for customers, sales and channel partners
  • Preparation of marketing and presentation material
  • Define and support marketing activities including trade shows, advertising etc. in cooperation with MARCOM

Requirements

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the power electronics markets and applications, especially inverter systems, IGBT and MOSFET technologies
  • Solid technical background in power electronics
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in managing technical products, marketing or sales support
  • Collaboration with cross functional teams
  • Very good command of spoken and written German and English
  • Global travel experience
